Tideswell store hit by robbers

The Co-op store in Tideswell was hit by robbers on Tuesday night who made off with cigarettes and cash after a struggle with staff.
The five men, all wearing balaclavas and hooded tops, burst into the shop on Commercial Road in the village at about 9pm on Tuesday, February 10.

They fled from in a Toyota Rav4 4×4 vehicle and drove off towards Buxton pursued by Derbyshire Police.

The car was eventually abandoned in Alsopps Place in Buxton and the five men ran off. Police searched for them with dogs but they were able to escape.
